Princes of the Tower

Princes of the Tower

We were young,
Ill protected,
Rightfully Kings.

And in the care of relatives-

Our little bones
Found mysteriously,
Under the staircase.

Rest in peace, Edward and Richard

You've got Mail!

After-Life Greetings

It's as simple as getting a postcard,
These greetings from the dearly departed.
This spirit mail never stops,
Constantly looking for a mailbox that's open.
And for those of you who care to know...
Your messages are piling up!

Santa's Surprise

Santa's near miss

Carefully placed, was the last gift, under the last Christmas tree. Finally, Santa would be able to go home for a well needed rest - But first a cookie and a sip of milk to sustain him on his journey back to the North Pole...

Return of the Robber Baron

Robber Barron

You thought they were gone -
A thing of the past.
These Barons that steal,
Your life for cash.
They'll work you to death,
And then take your soul,
For them it's just pocket change -
Luxury's Toll.

Key Events

Events

Thinking that there is a key -
meaning to it all .
With just the right knowledge,
perhaps near to grasp.

Oh, your Human mind,
Of one dimension only -
Can never understand
the complexity of existence.

Freeze

Freeze

You'll never realize that your freezing to death.
You sit out in the cold thinking of warmth,
While your limbs have lost all feeling.
Through windows you peer into the houses of the loved,
As ice crystals form on your cheeks.
The last part to freeze is your heart,
Although it has been cold long before this.

Energy Imprint

Energy imprint

In the energy that surrounds,
An equal mix of light and dark.

In the vibrations, there are many paths
That consciously choose -

Blame the Devils

Mothman 1897

Mothman 1897

For much longer than your stories,
In all your myths and all your legends.
I've exceeded the wearing of time,
the turn of centuries.

With vision beyond the eyes of humans,
I perch among the highest of vibrations.
For I am one among many -
A messenger of death.

X mas X

X mas X - ACEO

And yet another holiday not to be called "Christmas". You may say "Glad tidings" or "Blessed Winter" but do not utter the "Ch" word. This, coming from the politically correct spin machine, when in reality the Merry Makers couldn't care less.

The Key

key

And as you leave the comfort of your cemetery bed,
Go out into that world for curiosity of things that change,
Or rekindle with the things that have stayed the same.
Pause only for a moment - stay never too long,
For the key back home is easily misplaced.

After the Carnival

Cursed Diary

After the Harvest Carnival
All that was left was a barren field-
Dusty dirt, trampled popcorn boxes
And Circus animal droppings.

Ah, but there is treasure among the trash.

And as fate would have it,
A damning piece of evidence
for authorities on the case.

Found is the diary of Banjo the clown.
Complete with a burial map
Of all the missing persons.

Secrets Kept

Fortune Teller

A cautionary warning for those who seek,
Constant knowing of things to come.

Some better unseen - Best untold.

Sometimes cruel or completely unjust,
Fate is always the way it will be.

Quiet Whispers

graveyard

On breathless whispers,
Are the calls from ancestors-

To quiet the mourning weeps,
Quiet the shovels in dirt,
Quiet the rattling bones.

We do not miss our memories
Of the living as we pass
Into deep, misty realms.

This translucent dimension,
A passage through time,
Where all wounds are healed.

Damn it all!

The only contact...

I do what I know is right,
I try to stay positive,
And constantly strive to be my best-
Ultimately it is my responsibility.

But damn it all,
If this isn't Hell-
As there is a devil,
constantly pulling me down.

Sit back and contemplate...

As she contemplates

As you sit back and contemplate, or pray-
The evil lurks - it seeps in knowing,
That all prayers aren't answered.

Sit back and do as you've always done -
And arbitrarily argue,
That your method is what
"He" would want.

The Veil

Thin Veil

On this day the veil between worlds is thin and vague,
As most preoccupy with candy and costumes,
There are some of us who truly listen-
To the gentle whispers, and subtle hellos,
From relatives lost, long ago.

Flying Devil

Flying Devil

A midnight walk
On Hallow's eve,
Should you dare
Venture into the night:

He looks for those,
Out on their own
Who show no fear-
Those who tread
Carelessly into the night.

And before you know it,
He'll fast approach,
And drag you off
To the Hell under ground.

Burn Baby, Burn

Burn Baby

In this book,
the ritual is to burn-
To apease the Gods,
Burn the things we love,
Burn everything in sight-
For when the Gods are happy,
They keep ill fate from us.

We may no longer have
anything dear to the heart-
But we've saved ourselves
from lives of ruin.

Spider Master

Spider Master

Come to me, my silk spinning children,
For I have a task gruesome in nature:

Let the moon guide your way
through cracks and crevices,
To the list of souls
Who've crossed my path.

Into sleep filled rooms,
Our victims slumber,
Their parted lips give way
To passages and chambers.

As your Spider Master,
heed my command
to cob-up the insides
and lay your eggs.

Stay Asleep!

,Stay Asleep!

When you wake, long before dawn
There is a feeling, all is wrong
The room has changed
from when you slept -
A scuffling - A rustling
at the end of your bed.
Try as you can, not to move
For if it finds, you are awake,
You'll surely meet a hellish fate

Burden of Knowing

distruction copy

Oh these vague visions!
How I smell the phantom smoke and hear the calling of Ravens
I see the apparitions of bricks and dirt
yet they are as useful as random
pieces to a puzzle I've never seen
Feelings of fear, panic and sorrow overwhelm
All for what? The spirits that want to avert?
Just because I dare to see does not mean I should look
So, a message to the powers that are,
There is no point in showing me the things
I cannot nor should not change

Forever in dreams, you will not rest
As dark clocks chime
I begin to roam
taking souls for my own
Death of Night under sheets
for prayer-less sleepers,
I shall meet

Tea with the Reaper

Fiesta for a Reaper

"make time for the little things in life. Perhaps start a collection or take up a hobby" he said adding another lump of sweetness to the horribly bitter tea. Tea, perhaps made of tree bark and moss but I dare not complain. "This meeting is but a friendly bit of advice" he smiled pointing to the coat hook that held scythe and shroud.

And I could empathize how a reaper would rarely have a guest for tea. So I showed no fear and complimented him on his exquisite Fiesta Collection.

The spirits that roam

Ghost

As quiet as the night, the spirits roam
Up and down the rows of graves
keeping tallies of all who have come and gone

While others rest, some chose an active after-life
Visiting the places they were once fond of
holding on to the small details that have stayed the same

reminisce they will,
until they no longer recognize the living world

Hob Goblin

Hob Goblin ACEO
want to own this card?

Out in the forest lives a goblin
like no other goblin, he is a "Hob"
As to what a Hob truly is, no one can say
But to be a Hob is the highest of pedigree
revered quite gobliny - what ever that may be.

On Halloween night gather under moon,
they dance and jig about the patch
And when they find the perfect pumpkin
they offer it up to the goblin that is Hob

There is no explaining the ways of the weird
that in a goblins life lanterns are dear.

Happy Friday the 13th!!

Among the stones and gate

Among the stones and gate

A quiet hush falls among the stones and gate
A feeling of sadness - A feeling of peace
Tense statues set to protect,
although nothing can readily be done

As this is a scared space -
The burial grounds of ancestors
Our proof of love and respect

And these monuments are for the eyes
Comfort for the still beating heart
As mourning is only for the living

If you could ignore the guilt
If you would quiet your soul
You could let yourself truly see-

And you would know that I am here
Comforting you

Spooky Hallow!!!

My first photoshop!

I am determined to get Adobe Photoshop to submit to my will!

And apparently it's working because I kept clicking on all the buttons and eventually got the above picture. I know there is a help menu but I don't want to read - I want to click. I want to click, click, double-click and have everything turn out the way I want.

I must make note that the background picture is Captain Jack's excellent photography and the top layer is one of my drawing.

and the rest in hell

We will come down from the Heavens and
release your soul from the wrappings of linen

Brighter than Suns our eyes see clean

Regardless...

We will comfort with feathered embrace
even if all the ceremonies are not performed
even if the name is not carved in Onyx

Regardless...

We will journey to the placid after-life
